Frequently asked questions

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that helps people with disability get the support they need. It's for people with a long-term or significant disability, providing funding and help so they can do daily tasks independently — covering education, work, health, independence and community participation, for life.

Am I eligible for the NDIS?

To be eligible for the NDIS, you generally must:

  • Be 7 to 65 years old.
  • Hold Australian Permanent Residence, Australian Citizenship, or a special category visa.
  • Depend on another person due to a permanent and significant disability.
  • Regularly access special equipment due to a permanent and significant disability.

Not sure if you qualify? Call us on 08 9374 0642 to discuss your situation.

How does NDP help me get started?

We guide you through the whole process — checking eligibility, helping complete your NDIS access request, connecting you with a local coordinator to build your plan, and supporting you once it's approved so you can put it into action.

What services does NDP provide?

NDP offers three core services: Disability Accommodation (including SDA, short and medium-term stays, and supported living), Disability Care Services (daily living, community participation, assist life stages and community nursing), and NDIS Plan Management.

Are your staff qualified and screened?

Yes. Every NDP staff member holds a National Police Clearance, a Working with Children Card and an NDIS Worker Clearance, and completes the NDIS Worker Orientation module before starting their role.
